Executive Director is accountable for advancing the CHS mission
through community development and business growth, supporting CHS
impact through strong financial positioning and high performing
programs. With an understanding of family and community interests,
its needs and priorities, the incumbent seeks out new initiatives,
develops, supports and leverages community partnerships and works
closely with Business Line leaders/teams to facilitate the
achievement of outcomes that exceed the expectations of funders,
partners, clients and other stakeholders. Overall, the Executive
Director contributes to the CHS high performance culture by
exhibiting our values and providing quality results that position
CHS as the leader in delivering proactive behavioral health, case
management, community and early childhood solutions for children
and families.

families within your own community!Primary Job Functions:1. Advance
the CHS mission through community development and business growth,
supporting CHS impact through strong financial positioning and high
performing programs. Work in partnership with business line leaders
to facilitate the achievement of outcomes that exceed the
expectations of funders, partners, clients, and other stakeholders
while developing local work culture and legacy through team member
engagement. Manage funding and revenue development up to
$20M.Business & Resource Development (45%):
- Collaborate in the design and strategic planning process for
program and service expansion into new markets to develop, increase
and diversify revenue and funding streams.
- Build alliances and positive relationships with community
organizations, local governments, and other groups to secure a
minimum of 10 new business opportunities annually (e.g., funding
opportunities, fundraising, sponsorships, etc.) within the service
area.
- Serve as a key external CHS representative, bringing the voices
representing community interests, needs and priorities to CHS to
inform program planning and implementation.
- Collaborate with business line leadership in identifying and
engaging partnering organizations for programs, projects, and
services.
- Assist in expanding existing programs to meet the needs of the
communities served, coordinating resources where needed.
- Participate in program development and pilot projects to
support statewide practice initiatives.
- Prepare and present CHS performance reports related to
individual strategic goal attainment regarding business/resource
development.Community Partner, Board, Donor Stewardship &
Cultivation (45%):
- Lead relationship building and engagement activities with local
community partners, with a specific focus on major funders within
the community, municipalities, Community Foundations, United Way,
Community Service Council, and Chamber of Commerce, with a focus on
establishing and maintaining transformational partnerships and
funding development.
- Manage a donor or foundation portfolio of 10 donors, acting as
the primary relationship manager within the service area.
- Develop, maintain, and lead a local board whose purpose is
funding and other development; promote board role in advocacy and
fundraising efforts, as well as involvement with the CHS strategic
direction; in collaboration and partnership with the Philanthropy
Team.
- Serve as a professional resource to regional Boards by
supporting their understanding of statewide strategy, providing
education, and maintaining support, facilitating Board development,
and building Board involvement with the CHS strategic
direction.
- Participate in annual fundraising and other events; collaborate
in grant writing, when needed.
- Use the CRM to document efforts, staying current with changes
while following Moves Management policy and practices.
- Lead Community Development team through supervision of the
Associate Executive Director to create annual goals and strategies,
as well as collaborate in strategy execution, such as proposal
submissions, donor engagement activities and community
meetings.
- Work collaboratively with Advocacy teams to help advance the
CHS legislative platform and strategy locally, statewide and
nationally.Leadership Development & Succession (10%):
- Create and implement strategies for reducing voluntary team
member turnover; be the local face of CHS in supporting team
members.
- Confirm that local community team members are recognized for
their contributions through recognition and other engagement
activities.Job Qualifications:Education, Licenses & Certifications:
- Master's Degree in Social Work or Human Services related field
(e.g., Psychology, Sociology, Criminal Justice, etc.) from an
accredited university-OR-Non-Human Services related Master's degree
and extensive experience with children and family services and
demonstrated management skills, required.
- Equivalent combination of education, training and experience
may be considered.Experience:
- 5+ years of senior management experience, required; 2+ years in
social or behavioral health services, preferred.
- Experience working with boards of directors required.
- Experience building strong relationships with community
organizations serving diverse populations of children and families
in a variety of settings, along with demonstrated results in
marketing, public relations, and fundraising, required.Together,
